headphones2
aight, tried out headphones at work, while cleaning. not terrible. it be better if i could hear the stereo down on the station i typically work. the verdict: i'll keep headphones in my car just in case.
blah, blah, headphones, blah blah...enough is enough
i think if everyone who wore headphones, wore, instead, little mini speakers where everyone else could catch a bit of audio when paths are crossed...then that, that would be more interesting.

headphones
i have never had an ipod. i have had a 1gb mp3 player that has been used sparingly. i like ipods, in the car, definately..but plugged up through the stereo. listening to things on headphones is not my favorite. recently though, i decided to get pandora installed on my phone (i have plugged that into a stereo too) and would eventually try out headphones again. but...the headphones didnt feel right.
take this morning for example. i was walking down glenn to get my car. listening to pandora via headphones. it made me uncomfortable to be walking down a fairly busy road without being able to hear it. my balance seemed thrown off.
imaybe i'll give headphones another go while i'm cleaning up at work or something...but headphones while simply walking -- nodda.
p.s. to be clear, i took the headphones out before the song big eyed fish was over.

writing
i havent been posting much lately. not much going on. the only things i have thought about to blog, were ideas that i wasnt sure how to present in writing. and, too lazy to figure out how to organize them for a blogs purpose.
also, been thinkin more about paper topics for school then blog topics. maybe thats killed some blog thinkin time.
but, while at the beach, i read some of "dreams from my father" by obama. probably gonna have to put that on hiatus though. was at a decent stopping point - only a few chapters into the chicago section. origins was a neat section, about his childhood, adolescence, college years. chicago starts in 1982-83ish, when obama went to chicago as a community organizer. i read the first part of clintons "my life" (in paperback it's split in two, i think they are called 'early years' and 'presidential years' - i read the former) a few years ago. the biggest similarity i see between the two, is how it's amazing those kids grew up to be president....
time to read up on the new yankee stadium...econ of sports paper topic

it is monday...FORE!
yea yea yea, you know what this post is about. its about golf, b.c its monday. well, just to let you know, i did not make it out to the country club today. if you live in this area- you know that its freezin cold, followed by two days including snow and tornadoes. mondays have had the worse weather days since i started playing golf every monday. "good grief" said charlie brown.
..so i'll talk about pro golf...
tiger came back. for a bit, he looked rusty. i dont care what he says about playing well. i believe he said all that for the cameras. he hit some really awesome shots. but i have to imagine, walkin back to the tee on 15 to hit a 2nd tee shot had to be humiliating. i remember having to do that in tournys....not fun.
a dude on espn wrote about the format last week on tour, match play. match play is the only tourny when its better to go, as a patron, on the first day rather than the last day. on the first day every golfer in the field is there, but on the final day, only four. to make matters worse, if your not there, all the tv broadcast was concerend about was showing you the championship match, and not the consolation match as well. true, i dont care as much about 3rd and 4th, but i still like stewart cink. i like seeing more than two people hit a golf ball! i havent seen that many commercials since abc broadcast the british open a couple years ago when tiger won without hitting a driver. need-less-to-say, i was put to sleep.

yeap, two in a row
okay, now i'll get to the reason why i thought about posting. just felt compelled to whatever.
last night after work, not a whole lot was going on. bars two nights in a row is as fiscally irresponsible as most gov't spending bills. that led to a quiet night at a buddies crib. we were watching scrubs, one of the newer ones that just started back on abc. anyways, one of the patients was all about texting. she sees the doc talking and fires the text "everything okay?" or something to that effect. through the window, text-patient can see the docs reaction...
the scene captures an interesting idea. that reading impersonal text make us display very personal reactions. in this extreme case, the sender can actually see the reciever. makes me believe that we are vulnerable when we read text. something about that doesnt seem right. i suppose i should be thankful that most texts are trivial.

last post i mentioned about not being in the best of moods. this was due to a rough start to school, followed by madd work; and, last week threw 2 exams, and big paper at me. plus an assignment to pull up the slack IO test grade. the good news is it didnt rock my world. infact, it was a pretty dad-gum good week. definately stepped my game up. however, the rest and breakfast situation is still pretty weak.
evans made it up for the weekend. good times indeed. rollin in the hay at the club on friday night. thats whatsup.
should be on cruise control till spring break. OKAY!
