columbus

many of you, maybe even a high percentage since not many people read my jibberish, know that i grew up in columbus ga. i dont particularly like the place. thought i did till i lived in auburn. for the record, ive lived in auburn permamently since the fall of 2004.

not sure what the point is, other than posting because ive lacked posts in recent weeks. but i guess i'm just trying to say that i like coming to see my family and what not, but i dont like sticking around. maybe i dont like sticking around because i know that auburn is only 40 minutes away.

regardless, year 7 at auburn begins in august. war damn grad school funding. maybe a masters can score me a job on the beach or in a badass city

anticlimax

thats been used to describe the feeling you get when you walk across the stage at college graduation. i couldn't agree more, although i'm glad i chose to walk. proud to have the folks who came to watch be there as well. proud to have walked next in line with richard, with whom i have shared many of my college experiences.

what cant be explained is the feeling of relief, but unsatisfied with the level of accomplishment. i need and want a masters. i could give a damn about a big city job at this moment. i could give a damn about taking a, well, i'll call it, "an any business degree works, we'll train you to be a drone for our corporation job." at least with a masters i can actually call myself an economist or move up decently once hired by a think tank or govt job. so, for now, i'll work at the 'dam restaurant and learn to cook and work well with a team. that might actually get me somewhere.

plus, with no school i have time to spend elsewhere. like starbucks. "funny the way it is", new single by DMB, is stuck in my head something fierce.

april...

...showers bring may flowers. april is gonna be a big month; final stretch. i wont go into detail, but in a conversation with a coworker at moes, we talked about how the semester's sorta shape up. the analogy is better told in person...

Ive started the month off resting, hitting the grind tonite, sorta, through sunday though. hopefully golf on monday works out.

i guess, ugh, if my studying is rain, then maybe may will bring some good grades. get it?

moreover, i forgot i sent that last post from class. in macro last tuesday.

headphones2

aight, tried out headphones at work, while cleaning. not terrible. it be better if i could hear the stereo down on the station i typically work. the verdict: i'll keep headphones in my car just in case.

blah, blah, headphones, blah blah...enough is enough

i think if everyone who wore headphones, wore, instead, little mini speakers where everyone else could catch a bit of audio when paths are crossed...then that, that would be more interesting.
